GENERAL DESCRIPTION
“Anemone Blanda” Is Small And Spring Flowering From Southeastern Europe. “Anemone Blanda” Bears Flowers In Early Spring. Perched On Compact Stems Above Triads Of Ferny, Three-Parted Leaves. The Solitary, Daisy-Like Blooms Open Wide In Bright Sun To Reveal A Prominent White Eye And Yellow Anthers. Soon After Bloom, Plants Die Back To Black Tuberous Rhizomes That Spread To Form Clumps.
“Anemone Blanda” Has Received The Royal Horticultural Society’s Award Of Garden Merit (Agm) Which Is For Plants Of Outstanding Excellence.
“Anemone Blanda” Can Also Be Planted In The Spring For Summer Flowering
Happiest In A Site Shaded From Hot Sun, Anemone Blanda Prefers Rich, Loamy Soil, Even Moisture. This Is A Good Plant For Texture And Colour In A Container, Naturalising In Open Woodland, Or A Rock Garden. Flowers For 2-3 Weeks And Attracts Butterflies. The Flowers Are Excellent For Cutting. They Can Also Be Forced Into Winter Bloom. The Bulbs Are Required To Be Soaked Overnight In Cool Water Before Planting.
