GENERAL DESCRIPTION
These bulbs are a flowering size bulb
White Splendour is small and spring flowering from Southeastern Europe. White Splendour bears pure white snowy flowers with pink-tinged exteriors in early spring. Perched on compact stems above triads of ferny, three-parted leaves. The solitary, daisy-like blooms open wide in bright sun to reveal a boss of yellow anthers.
Anemone Blanda has received the royal horticultural society’s award of garden merit (agm) which is for plants of outstanding excellence.
Anemone Blanda can also be planted in the spring for summer flowering
Happiest in a site shaded from hot sun, Anemone Blanda prefers rich, loamy soil, even moisture. This is a good plant for texture and colour in a container, naturalising in open woodland, or a rock garden. Flowers for 2-3 weeks and attracts butterflies. The flowers are excellent for cutting. They can also be forced into winter bloom. The bulbs are required to be soaked overnight in cool water before planting,
Plant 6-7 cm deep 5-7 cm apart.
