GENERAL DESCRIPTION
“Professor Anton Kippenberg” Is A Clump Forming Aster That Typically Grows In A Dwarf Compact Mound To 12-15 Inches Tall And To 18 Inches Wide. Daisy-Like Asters With The Common Name Michaelmas Daisy Having Lavender-Blue Rays And Yellow Centres, With Narrow Linear Medium-Green Leaves And Bloom Profusely In The Autumn.
Asters Are Excellent Cut Flowers And Attract Butterflies. They Make A Terrific Accent To Autumn Blooming Grasses And The Changing Colours Of The Trees. They Are Native To North America And Generally Very Easy To Grow.
Easily Grown In Average Medium Moisture, Well-Drained Soil In Full Sun. Pinching Bak Stems Several Times Before Mid-July Will Help Control Plant Height, Promote Bushiness And Obviate Any Need For Staking. Pinching Is Less Important For This Compact Cultivar Than The Taller Asters.. Plants May Be Cut To The Ground After Flowering
