GENERAL DESCRIPTION
“Crenver” Is Small Cupped Daffodil And Is A Very Old Variety And Is Nearly Extinct. It Was Registered Pre 1927 With The Rhs. And Is Very Rare.
Small-Cupped Daffodils As The Name Implies, Have Cups That Are Relatively Small And Shallow, Specifically Having A Cup Whose Length Is Equal To Or Less Than One Third The Height Of The Surrounding Petals
“Crenver” Is Very Scented, With A Broad Clean White Perianth (Petals) And A Very Shallow Regularly Pleated Corona With A Dull, Moss-Green Eye; A Narrow Middle Zone Of Muted Dark Yellow And A Broad Band Of Reddish Orange At The Wavy Rim. It Is Very Similar To A Poeticus Hybrid
Like All Daffodils “Crenver” Is A Superb Cutflower, In The Landscape, It Pairs Well With Tulips, Violas, Early Blooming Perennials And Shrubs. They Are Also Wonderful For Planting In Showy Masses. They Are Excellent In Beds, Borders Tubs And Containers. They Are Deer, Rodent And Squirrel Proof.
These Are Some Of The Easiest Bulbs To Grow. They Prefer Full To Part Sun And Require Average Fertile Soil. After Blooming, It Is Good To Let Their Green Tops Photosynthesize To Allow Them To Store Plenty Of Fuel For Next Spring’s Display. Once Their Leaves Start To Turn Yellow, They Can Be Cut To The Ground. Divide Them In Summer If Bloom Or Vigour Dwindles.
Plant 15cm (6”) Deep And 5-10cms (2”-4”) Apart 15cm-22cm (6-9”) Per Sq Ft
