GENERAL DESCRIPTION
“Hedychium Gardnerianum” Originates From The Hymalayas. It Is Probably One Of The Hardiest Hedychiums. The Foliage Is Dramatic And Architectural And Can Grow Up To 40cm Long, So It Looks Great In Borders With A Tropical Theme. The Flowers However Are The Crowning Glory, The Quintessential Ginger Lily. Each Inflorescence (Flowering Structure That Consists Of More Than One Flower) Holds Up To 50 Equisite Little Flowers-Individually Pretty As An Orchid With A Heady Sweet Fragrance, And Yellow Each With Protruding Red Stamens Over Luxuriantly Exotic Foliage. Plants Are By Nature Evergreen, Although Most Places See Them Cut Back By Frost. Given Plenty Of Space, This Is A Glamorous And Spectacular Plant To Bring An Exotic Look To Your Garden If Left Undisturbed. Because Of This Ginger Lilies Are A Good Buffer Plant To Have Between Established Perennials Plants And The Transitional Summer Plantings.
“Hedychium Garnerianum” Has Received The Royal Horticultural Society’s Award Of Garden Merit (Agm) Which Is For Plants Of Outstanding Excellence.
