GENERAL DESCRIPTION

“Hosta Sieboldiana” Plantain Lily Is A Clump Forming, Shade Tolerant, Herbaceous Perennial That Is Primarily Grown For Its Highly Ornamental Waxy, Mid-Green Leaves. These Are Large, Heart-Shaped, Cupped And Are Deeply Veined. In Early Summer, It Produces Strong Upright, Sturdy Stems Lined With White Bell-Shaped Flowers.

The Genus Originates From Asia And Is Comprised Of Approximately 40 Species. Hosta Is A Clump Forming Herbaceous Ornamental Grown Mostly For Its Attractive Foliage.

“Hosta Sieboldiana” Has Received The Royal Horticultural Society’s Award Of Garden Merit (Agm) Which Is For Plants Of Outstanding Excellence.

Overall, Hostas Grow Best In Partially Shaded Sites And Tolerate A Wide Range Of Soil Types. Hostas Have Average Water Needs, But Prefer Even Moisture, Hot And Dry. Hostas Display Their Displeasure With Margin And Tip-Burns On The Leaves.
