The Blossoms Of Double Late Tulips Have So Many Petals That Their Other Is Peony Tulips. The Blossoms Are Extremely Large; When Fully Open They Can Be As Much As 10cm (4”) Across. As Well, The Flowers Bloom Late And Are Extremely Long Lasting, So You May Have Double Late Tulips In Beautiful Condition Well Into Early Summer.
“Ice Cream” Is One Of The More Unusual And Very Rare Double Late Tulips. “Ice Cream” Starts Green Then Merges To A Beautiful Cerise Pink, From The Centre A Mass Of White Petals Appear, When Fully Open They Look Like White Paeonies. In The Early Stages They Look Like Ice Cream In A Cone. Plant It Somewhere Prominent So You Can Really Enjoy The Flowers. It Is Relatively Tall. They Have Exceptional Perennial Qualities And Will Produce Many Lovely Flowers Year After Year. They Look Terrific In Borders And Stay In Good Shape For An Astonishingly Long Time. They Will Also Look Superb In A Vase Of Home.
Tulips Are Generally Easy To Grow. They Prefer Full To Part Sun And Require Average To Fertile Soil With Good Drainage.
