GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Cobalt-Blue Flowers Of Armeniacum Grape Hyacinth, Partner Beautifully With Small Daffodils, Pansies And Other Spring Flowering Plants. Native From South Eastern Europe To The Caucasus, This Hardy Bulbous Perennial Is Also Great For Naturalising And For Adding A Splash Of Cool Colour To Spring Containers. Most Grape Hyacinths Are So Reliable And Undemanding That They Are Taken For Granted. They Need No Special Care And Once Planted, Will Flower And Spread Easily.
“Muscari Armeniacum” Has Received The Royal Horticultural Society’s Award Of Garden Merit (Agm) Which Is For Plants Of Outstanding Excellence.
Reminiscent Of Bunches Of Grapes, The Erect, Conical Cluster Of Small Urn-Shaped Blooms Appear In Mid-Spring On Leafless Ankle-High Stems. As The Individual Flowers Mature, Their Rims May Turn White, But This Doesn’t Show Much. The Blossoms Are Fragrant. The Grassy Green Leaves Wither In Late Spring And Reappear In The Autumn.
“Grape Hyacinths” Prefer Sun Or Light Shade And Well-Drained But Fertile Soil. They Look Best Planted In Masses Among Other Spring Bulbs. Though They Are Small, They Can Be Cut And Look Sweet Clustered Into Tiny Vases. They Are Also Ideal For Winter Forcing. They Can Also Be Planted In Pots, Try Planting Them In A Pot With Tête Á Tête For A Gorgeous Combination.
Plant Bulbs 3-4” Deep In Clusters.
