GENERAL DESCRIPTION
These Bulbs Are An Exceptionally Large Size For Muscari And Will Produce Fantastic Blooms
Early And Long-Blooming, “Muscari Golden Fragrance” Are Dependable Plant-And-Forget Flowering Bulbs And Most Are Native To The Mediterranean And Southwestern Asia.
This Herbaceous Perennial Send Up Somewhat Fleshy, Linear To Spatula-Shaped Green Leaves From A Small, Brown Bulb Covered With A Papery Brown Skin. Most Of The Species Are Small And Produce Only A Few Leaves. Showy, Often Grape-Like Clusters Of Small Flowers Appear At The Top Of Slender Leafless Stems. The Tiny Flowers Can Be Shaped Like Rounded Or Tubular Bells.
The Blooms Of “Golden Fragrance” Are Unusually Yellow, Fading To Purple And Don’t Really Look Like Grapes At All, But More Like Tiny Yellow Bananas Going Up Its Stem And Decorated With A Plum Purple Crown. They Are Very Unusual And Very Fragrant. The Fragrance Is The Most Powerful Of All The Muscari And The Scent From A Group Of Plants Can Be Picked Up Some Distance Away.
“Golden Grape Hyacinths” Prefer Sun Or Light Shade And Well-Drained But Fertile Soil. They Look Best Planted In Masses Among Other Spring Bulbs. Though They Are Small, They Can Be Cut And Look Sweet Clustered Into Tiny Vases. They Are Also Ideal For Winter Forcing. They Can Also Be Planted In Pots, Try Planting Them In A Pot With Tête Á Tête For A Gorgeous Combination.
After Blooming Their Leaves Will Disappear Underground, Only To Reappear In Autumn And Survive Through Winter Until Plants Flower Again In Spring.
Plant Bulbs 3-4” Deep In Clusters.
