GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Large Cupped Daffodils Are The Kind Everyone Expects To See Dancing In The Spring Breeze. “Passionale”Makes An Attractive Change From Ordinary Yellow Daffodils, Thanks To Its Beautiful White Flowers With Pale Apricot/Pink Cups That Appear From March To April And Are Borne On Tall Stems In Early Spring. Basal Leaves Are Green And Usually Strap-Shaped.

“Passionale” Is An Old Daffodil And Quite Rare, It Was Registered In 1957

Like All Daffodils “Passionale” Is A Superb Cutflower, In The Landscape, It Pairs Well With Species Tulips, Scillas, Muscari And Early Blooming Perennials And Shrubs. It Is Also Wonderful For Planting In Showy Masses.

“Passionale” Has Received The Royal Horticultural Society’s Award Of Garden Merit (Agm) Which Is For Plants Of Outstanding Excellence.

These Are Some Of The Easiest Bulbs To Grow. They Prefer Full To Part Sun And Require Average Fertile Soil. After Blooming, It Is Good To Let Their Green Tops Photosynthesize To Allow Them To Store Plenty Of Fuel For Next Spring’s Display. Once Their Leaves Start To Turn Yellow, They Can Be Cut To The Ground. Divide Them In Summer If Bloom Or Vigour Dwindles. The Plants Are Deer, Rabbit And Squirrel Resistant.
