GENERAL DESCRIPTION

These Plants Are Unique Because Of The Unusual Bicoloured Flower, Double Petals Of Yellow Edged In Red And White Edged In Red, With Green Foliage Describes The Tuberous Yellow & Red And White & Red Picotee. This Compact Plant Belongs To The Tuberhybrida Group. It Grows From Winter-Dormant Root Tubers And Uniquely Bicoloured That Are Double.

They Are Produced In Early Summer To The First Frost. And Are Set Among Open, Succulent Stems Across The Plant. Dark Green Leaves Accent The Lighter, Heavily Crimped Blooms Beautifully.

“Picotee Begonia” Needs A Rich, But Well-Drained Soil In A Partially Shaded Garden Location. It Should Only Receive Direct Sunlight Early In The Morning

Plant February-May 5 Cm Deep And 25 Cm Apart When The Frost Has Gone.

They Can Be Started Indoors By Sprouting Them Off In A Seed Tray Or Damp Box 5 Cm Apart And Bury Them Hollow Side Up Just Covered With A Surface Layer Of Peat Or Compost. Once Planted Out Water And Feed Regularly. It Pays To Remove Dead Flowers As Well As Pinching Out Any Long Stems During Early Growth To Encourage Stronger Healthier Plants.

“Begonias” Offer An Explosion Of Colour For Hanging Baskets, Window Boxes, Pots And Tubs As Well As In The Garden. These Eye-Catching “Picotee Begonia’s” Produce Large Long-Lasting Blooms.
