GENERAL DESCRIPTION
“Muscari Botryroides Album” Was Long Considered The One And Only Pure White Form Of Grape Hyacinth. It Yields Slightly Conical Racemes Of Ivory-White Florets That Mature To Bright White Above Ample Foliage Clumps. It Is Fabulous Blended With Anemone Blanda Blue Shades And Also Cut For Little Vases.
Most Grape Hyacinths Are So Reliable And Undemanding That They Are Taken For Granted. They Need No Special Care And Once Planted, Will Flower And Spread Easily. They Are Also Less Vigorous (Or Invasive) Than It’s More Commonly Grow Cousin Muscari Armeniacum. Muscari Is Deer And Rodent Resistant.
Reminiscent Of Bunches Of Grapes, The Erect, Conical Cluster Of Small Urn-Shaped Blooms Appear In Mid-Spring On Leafless Ankle-High Stems. As The Individual Flowers Mature, The Blossoms Are Fragrant. The Grassy Green Leaves Wither In Late Spring And Reappear In The Autumn.
“Grape Hyacinths” Prefer Sun Or Light Shade And Well-Drained But Fertile Soil. They Look Best Planted In Masses Among Other Spring Bulbs. Though They Are Small, They Can Be Cut And Look Sweet Clustered Into Tiny Vases. They Are Also Ideal For Winter Forcing. They Can Also Be Planted In Pots, Try Planting Them In A Pot With Tête Á Tête For A Gorgeous Combination.
Plant Bulbs 3-4” Deep In Clusters.
