GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Already Potted In 1 litre Round Pots And In The Early Stages Of Growth, Root And Shoot Development. The Main Picture Is A Stock Photo Only And Shows How The Plants Look When Fully Mature. Amount Of Bulbs Per Pot Varies Depending On The Type/Size Of Bulb, But Rest Assured The Pots Are Full.  Each Pot Makes A Lovely Display And Can Be Either Left In Pots Or Taken Out And Used To Add Colour To Larger Containers, Or Borders.

“Pinocchio” Is Low-Growing With Long Lasting Brilliant, Two Toned Blooms Bursting Forth In Early April. The Petals Are Scarlet And Edged With Ivory.

As Closed Pyramidal Blossoms, ‘Pinocchio’ Shows Itself Off As Candy-Cane Flowers, The Outside Of Each Petal Having A Wide Red Line Flanked By Ivory. As These Long-Lasting Flowers Age, The White Stripes Darken Stage By Stage Until The Petals Vertical Red Stripe Is Flanked By Lighter Red Stripes. The Interior Is White Aging To Red, With A Yellow Centre.

“Pinocchio” Is A Typical Instance Of A Vividly Coloured And Large-Flowered Dwarf Hybrid (Greigii) With Marbled, Striped Leaves With Purple Markings Which Make An Attractive Feature Even Before Flowering. Perfect For Planting In Rock Gardens And At The Front Of Borders. Also In Containers.

These Are Some Of The Easiest Bulbs To Grow. They Prefer Full To Part Sun And Require Average Fertile Well Drained Soil. Leave The Lower Foliage Of These Tulips After They Bloom, So They Can Collect And Store Energy For Next Springs Display. Once The Leaves Start To Yellow, Cut Plants To The Ground.

Greigii Hybrids Are More Robust Than Many Other Tulips And May Be Left Permanently In The Ground To Multiply. This Small Very Striking Tulip Is Effective In Small Groupings Of At Least 12-15 Bulbs Or Massed Into Large Drifts The Variegated Leaves Provide Continuing Interest After Bloom.

Plant 10 Cm Deep And 10 Cm Apart.
