GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Already Potted In 1 Litre Round Pots With Growth, Root And Shoot Development. The Main Picture Is A Stock Photo Only And Shows How The Plant Will Look When The Plant Is Fully Mature. Amount Of Bulbs Per Pot Varies Depending On The Type/Size Of Bulb, But Rest Assured The Pots Are Full. Each Pot Makes A Lovely Display And Can Be Either Left In Pots Or Taken Out And Used To Add Colour To Larger Containers, Or Borders.

“Black-Eyed Susan”, A Perennialthat Everyone Knows And Loves And Is In Many Gardeners Top Ten Of Perenials. It Is Native To Eastern North America, Easy To Growand Packs A Punch Of Golden Garden Colour In Late Summer. It Bears Basal Clumps Of Hairy; Medium Green Leaves That Give Rise To Long Leafy Stalks Topped With Golden Yellow Daisies Punctuated With Black Eyes. Plants Are Rhizomatous. It Has A Long Flowering Season, From Mid-Summer Right Through To The Middle Of Autumn When The First Severe Frosts Arrive. The Plant Is Short Enough Not To Need Staking, And Does Not Spread So Fast That Frequent Division Is Necessary, Making It A Very Easy-Care Plant.

“Rudbeckia Fulgida” Has Received The Royal Horticultural Society’s Award Of Garden Merit (Agm) Which Is For Plants Of Outstanding Excellence.

In The Wild, “Black-Eyed Susan” Inhabits Grassland And Prairies, So It Grows Best In Sites With Rich Moderately Fertile Well-Drained Soil And Full Sun Or Partial Shade. This Fine Perennial Looks Best When Massed In Mixed Borders With Other Sun-Loving Perennials And Ornamental Grasses. Also Good As A Cut Flower. Many Pollinators Are Drawn To “Black-Eyed Susan” Flowers, To Include Butterflies And Bees. The Dry, Black, Button-Like Seeds Of This Plant May Be Left Uncut To Provide Winter Interest And Seeds For Birds.
