The True Flowers From A Large Dense Pin-Cushion Centre. The Leaves Are Fresher Green Than Most And Split Into Three Lobes. Different In Having A Spreading Habit. As Astrantia Deter Slugs, They Can Also Be Combined With Large-Leaved Plants Such As Hostas To Act As An Organic Method Of Controlling Slug Damage. A Great Choice For Contemporary-Style Plantings. Attractive To Bees And Butterflies.

After Flowering “Astrantia Maxima Rosea” Can Be Rejuvenated By Cutting Them Back Close To The Ground, Fresh New Foliage And A Late Crop Of Flowers Start Appearing Shortly After. Plants Do Not Spread Far, But Are Well-Known For Self Seeding.
