GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Already Potted In 1 Litre Round Pots With Growth, Root And Shoot Development. The Main Picture Is A Stock Photo Only And Shows How The Plant Will Look When The Plant Is Fully Mature. Amount Of Bulbs Per Pot Varies Depending On The Type/Size Of Bulb, But Rest Assured The Pots Are Full. Each Pot Makes A Lovely Display And Can Be Either Left In Pots Or Taken Out And Used To Add Colour To Larger Containers, Or Borders.

Japanese Anemones Are Amongst The Best Late Summer And Autumn Border Flowers, With Tall Upright Stems That Do Not Need Staking.

“Prinz Heinrich”, Variety Japonica Is A Late-Blooming Herbaceous Perennial Native To China And Japan. Rounded Deep, Pinkish-Red Cup-Shaped Flowers, Darker On The Reverse, With Bold Yellow Stamens, Which Flowers In Late Summer And Early Autumn. “Prinz Heinrich” Has Many Sepal-Like Petals That Are Borne On Tall, Wiry Stems. The Large, Hairy, Deeply Lobed Leaves Are Concentrated Towards The Plants Base. The Foliage Is Wax Green And A Quiet Foil For The Exuberant And Prolific Show Of Flowers. It Was Introduced In 1902 And Is Still Widely Grown. “Prinz Heinrich” Is A Relatively Compact Variety Of Japanese Anemone And Like Its Relatives Brightens Up The Autumn Garden With Its Pinkish-Red Flowers. “Prinz Heinrich” Is Delicate In Appearance And When Lit From Behind In A Woodland Setting, Have A Magical Effect. Despite The Appearance, It Is A Sturdy, Hardy, Easily Grown Plant Nearly Impervious To Pests And Disease.

“Prinz Heinrich” Has Received The Royal Horticultural Society’s Award Of Garden Merit (Agm) Which Is For Plants Of Outstanding Excellence.

“Prinz Heinrich” Prefers Rich Well Drained Soil And Either Full Sun Or Partial Shade. Use This Beautiful Late-Season Perennial In Mixed Borders Or Along A Woodland Edge. It Is Also Excellent For Cutting. Cut Back The Stalks After The Flowers Have Faded And Tidy Up The Old Dead Leaves In March, Then Mulch Well. Avoid Moving The Plant Since It Resents Disturbance. Where Necessary Lift And Divide Congested Clumps In Autumn Or Early Spring.
